Literacy

These topics will be covered during February:

  • Listen to people speaking and ask questions about what they say.
  • Make comments about what the speaker has said.
  • Identify features of fiction text.
  • Answer questions about the text and the characters.

  • Use their voices in different ways to sound interesting.
  • Include details that help the listener follow the story.

    These topics will be covered during February:

  • 1.    Adding two digit numbers.

    2.   Identify amount to be added. Write the addition calculation. Write the totals as money.

    3.   Subtract two digit numbers using the breaking Method.

    4.   Write the subtraction calculation for change. Work out the calculation. Write the answers as money.

    5.   Draw and name 2D shapes including pentagon, hexagon, heptagon and octagon.

    6.   Make composite shapes with two or more shapes. Identify the number of right angles in a composite shape.

    7.   Identify the number of right angles in a composite or irregular shape. Describe shapes in terms of angles, sides and corners.

    8.   Use halving to recall the division facts for the 4 multiplication table.

    9.   Use halving to recall the division facts for the 8 multiplication table.

    10.  Solve problem and reason mathematically.
